The tool did not work for me.I needed to use it on SQL7 using MSDE 1 for sharepoint 10.x (an NT beta version)Any how it could not find any password info and could not read the format of the file even though it is still an mdf file.I tried a number of tools all with the same problem. It looks like the tools will not work with anything older than SQL2000. It did kind of say this but not in a clear way. I thought it was worth a try.

Its a bad software, there is no help available to understand. It keeps on throwing error even though sql services is stopped. very irritating.

Can`t start the recovery in the trial version I can't event start the recovery - after clicking on the start button the information, that the functionality is available only in the full version appears.

The program did not performed any better than word's built in text recovery. No images or equations were recovered from file.

The product recovered VBA Project password as expected, but does not recover .XLA file passwords.

Comments I can not use it because it has a three letters limitation, however I saw a good interface...

I have a 8 character password like gr4gdty7 that I need cracked. I am going to buy a product (http://www.rixler.com/purchase_wpasrec.htm) to simply decrypt the eight word files I need done as a once off job. I am a writer in my pass time and I do not have a lot of money right now.
